To open the episode, we geek out about Galaxy Quest (only the best comedy/scifi movie of all time!), when Holly tells Esther about her visit to the Museum of Pop Culture! The first question from our querent asks what to do about the disappointment, discouragement, and coping emotionally with their journey in wanting to conceive a child. Our second questions asks Holly and Esther their beliefs about tarot, if it has powers, and how to trust in something again after being betrayed so deeply by Christianity.
Our deck of the week is the curious carnivalesque themed tarot, Carnival at the End of the World by Kahn + Selesnick. We talk about why we have avoided this deck for so long, but why it has quickly become a fave (for Esther) after receiving it and working with it in person. Laetitia has their Carnival at the End of the World Tarot Class starting in April, so be sure to check it out if you want to dive deep into the curious world Kahn + Selesnick! We have a special announcement about the class coming soon, so be on the lookout for that in the next few days!
Our book, The History of Tarot Art: Demystifying the Art and Arcana, Deck by Deck, is available for pre-order! If you pre-ordered our book you can get our History of Tarot Art spreads zine that we created by filling out this form!
